Maintenance Technician
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality. • Tests equipment to check operation. Clears jams and sets aside product for inspection and rework. Tries out equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime. • Makes preventive maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action. • Notifies maintenance department or supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed. • May need to oil and grease equipment. • May operate equipment during self relief periods. • Complete ISO 9001:2015 AS9100D quality training and follows related procedures. • Follows prescribed plant and safety rules and regulations. • Performs any and all other related duties as required or directed.
Job Specifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Satisfactory work record and good attendance record. • Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools. • High mental and visual effort required. • Job involves standing most of shift. • Willingness to work rotating shifts on continuous, seven-day cycle. • Work with and troubleshoot 3 phase electrical systems and hydraulic systems. • Make welding and mechanical repairs. • Troubleshoot causes of equipment malfunction. • Read and use schematic diagrams, blueprints, and maintenance procedures. • Most work performed on the plant floor in a non air-conditioned environment. • Working knowledge of P.M. technician duties. • Must be able to climb ladders and have no fear of heights. • Must be able to bend, reach, lift, stoop, and climb. • Must be capable of lifting up to 100 pounds.
