Human Resources Generalist
HR Generalist Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence. • Posts jobs via media methods, i.e., Indeed • Select applicants meeting specified job requirements and refer them to hiring personnel. • Interviews candidates; processes background checks; reference checks. • Schedule and process assessment testing, when required for candidates. • Schedules appropriate testing • Hires hourly and salary employees • Prepares and conducts new hire orientations • Explains company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants. • Provides assistance in administering employee benefit programs, worker’s compensation plans, FMLA/STD. • Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities. • Prepares and tracks data through computer systems, i.e., excel, Microsoft, ADP, etc. HR Generalist Job Specifications: • Bachelor degree in Human Resources and/or Business Management • Personnel and Human Resources - Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems. • Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. • Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. • English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
